Black Nativity is an African-American telling of the Nativity story, based on the Song Play written by acclaimed African-American poet and playwright Langston Hughes. The show recreates the journey of Mary and Joseph, resplendent in African costumes, to Bethlehem, accompanied by a rousing repertoire of spirituals.

Light Up MLK │ November 28 │ 5 PM

Join us in the MLK corridor for a festive evening of music, live performances, tasty food, and the ceremonial lighting that kicks off the holiday season. This free community celebration, presented by the City of Pompano Beach Cultural Affairs Department (Pompano Beach Arts), welcomes everyone to embrace the spirit of the season.

Yuletide on Atlantic │ December 3 │ 6–9 PM

Celebrate the season along Atlantic Boulevard at this free community tradition! Gather with family and friends for an evening filled with festive holiday fun and plenty of seasonal cheer.

Untapped Tree Lighting Ceremony │ December 4 │ 6 PM

Kick off the holiday season in Old Town with the lighting of the City tree! Join the community at 41 NE 1st Street for this free festive tradition during Old Town Untapped.

Festival of Lights: A Hanukkah Celebration │ December 6 │ 4–7 PM

Celebrate Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, with family, friends, and neighbors at the Palm Aire Gazebo. This free community celebration honors Hanukkah’s rich traditions, message of hope, and the joy of coming together.

64th Annual Greater Pompano Beach Chamber of Commerce Holiday Boat Parade │December 11 │7 PM

South Florida’s holiday tradition is back and bigger than ever! Join over 50 boats lighting up the Intracoastal with our “A Party in the U.S.A.” theme. Compete for the best-themed boat award! Join us on the Greater Pompano Beach Chamber's parade boat for $200 per person, including an open bar. The parade starts at 6:00 PM and will be livestreamed on Facebook and YouTube.

Celebrate the magic of the season with a festive morning at Emma Lou Olson Civic Center! Enjoy delicious donuts, an interactive holiday game show, and a special visit from Santa. Tickets are $7 per person and go on sale November 2.

Deck the Halls │ December 12 │ 6:30–8:30 PM

Get into the holiday spirit at this free, special needs dance for ages 13+ with developmental disabilities. Join us at Emma Lou Olson Civic Center for a festive evening of music, dancing, and an Ugly Sweater Contest!
